Step 1: Surface Preparation and Cleaning
Waterproofing cannot bond to loose dust, moss, or old paint. Use a stiff wire brush to scrape the terrace clean, wash it with a high-pressure water jet, and let the concrete dry completely.
Step 2: Crack Sealing with Waterproof Filler
Inspect the terrace for structural cracks. Widen hairline cracks slightly, clean the dust, and fill them with a non-shrinking, anti-fungal product like NeuriGum Waterproof Crack Filler using a putty knife.
Step 3: Base Coat Application
Apply a thick coat of NeuriGum Waterproofing Ceiling Paste directly onto the surface. Do not dilute. Ensure that the coat is applied uniformly in a single direction.
Step 4: Cross Coat Application
After letting the base coat cure for 8 hours, apply the second coat in a perpendicular direction. This cross-coat method ensures that all pinholes are sealed, creating a permanent barrier against monsoons.
